I was being erased.<\/p>\n

The detective called it a \u201csoft abduction\u201d\u2014not a kidnapping in the classic sense, but a calculated attempt to remove me from the picture entirely, legally and physically.<\/p>\n

Brian\u2019s plan was simple and chilling: use the time before the courts responded to the custody filing to flee with our son. Then, when I was painted as \u201cmissing,\u201d or even worse\u2014unfit\u2014he\u2019d disappear into another state, with Caleb, under the radar.<\/p>\n

If I hadn\u2019t been in that car when he planned to leave\u2014if I\u2019d just let him \u201cgo ahead and pack\u201d like he offered\u2014he would\u2019ve left me behind,\u00a0without a trace.<\/em><\/p>\n

Detective Moore didn\u2019t waste time. A BOLO was issued, and Brian was arrested at the boarding gate in Flagstaff Airport, less than 24 hours after he left us on the roadside.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t resist. Didn\u2019t even look surprised.<\/p>\n

But he also didn\u2019t speak.<\/p>\n
